Fiddlehead Banner Elk is comprised of two unique homes on 22 secluded acres. The compound has two homes, a two-stall horse barn, rolling pasture and a small picnic pond. The property is a hiker's paradise, providing private trails from ridge to ridge. And did we mention it's only a few miles to the center of Banner Elk, Beach Mountain, Sugar Mountain and Grandfather Mountain? What a location! The Lodge at Fiddlehead and the TreeHouse at Fiddlehead combine as an ideal location for family gatherings in all seasons. The combined homes accommodate 17 guests.

The Lodge at Fiddlehead is a 1940's cabin that's been completely updated and expanded to include every modern amenity. An in-home theater, chef's kitchen, steam shower, hot tub and expansive outdoor deck with massive fireplace are but a few of the highlights.

The TreeHouse at Fiddlehead is a one of a kind structure. Originally built as the prototype model home for the Eagles Nest community, it's a true gem. Built entirely of massive, whole Norwegian Timber, the home is nestled into the side of the mountain, surrounded by old growth forrest. The cabin is ideal for families, as it hosts three king beds in a single two-story room. An oversized, wrap around deck piers over the pasture and up towards Eagles Nest. The cabin has a steam shower and jetted whirlpool tub, along with luxurious Nest bath products.  There's a recreation room on the lower level.

The Lodge at Fiddlehead does not accept pets, however the TreeHouse at Fiddlehead does accept pets for a fee.

Fiddlehead Banner Elk is owned and operated by Billy Maddalon, owner of the historic award-winning Morehead Inn in Charlotte, NC.

The Lodge --An Authentic Mountain Cabin, 3 Bedrooms, Each with Private Baths

This wonderfully eclectic 1940's cabin that's been meticulously expanded and updated to become one of Banner Elk's finer homes. An exciting combination of rustic cabin and modern chic. A chef's kitchen, steam shower, Nest of New York luxury bath products, a home theater and game room, wood burning fireplace, outdoor hot tub beside the large fireplace on an oversized deck are just a few of the amenities you'll find in this private mountain home. And did we mention the picnic pond? With 2 king beds, a queen, a twin, and a pullout, The Lodge sleeps 9!

The Lodge at Fiddlehead is one of two homes available at Fiddlehead Banner Elk. It sits quietly on 22 secluded acres, overlooking a rolling pasture, surrounded by mature hardwoods. While secluded, it's only 7 minutes from the center of downtown Banner Elk. Also within a few miles are the ski resorts of Sugar Mountain and Beech Mountain, Grandfather Mountain State Park and the Mile High Bridge, Linville Caverns, Tweetsie Railroad and Lees-McRae College. Enjoy hiking the 22 acre Fiddlehead compound or take a short trip over to Linville Falls. You're a short drive to the village of Blowing Rock and the town of Boone.

The Lodge is connected to the TreeHouse above by a winding staircase.

The TreeHouse--Norwegian Whole Timber Beam Beauty

The TreeHouse at Fiddlehead is one of Banner Elk's most unique homes. It was designed and built as the prototype model home for the exclusive Eagle's Nest community on the adjacent ridge. Built entirely of Nordic whole timber, the home is a classic treehouse, nestled into the side of the mountain and surrounded by old growth trees.

The TreeHouse offers an oversized whirlpool tub, a steam shower, luxury Nest of New York bath products and a recreation/game room on the lower level.  There is a kitchenette/galley kitchen, with a stove top, toaster oven and microwave.  The home does have central heat, but there is no AC, which would rarely be needed since the temperature rarely gets out of the 70's.

The home sleeps 8, with three kings in the main living area and a queen pull-out downstairs in the game room. The main living/sleeping area is essentially one large, two story room, with beds separated by floor to ceiling curtains. Ideal for families or close friends who appreciate one another's company.

The TreeHouse is connected to The Lodge below via a winding staircase. The TreeHouse and Lodge may be rented together or separately.

The TreeHouse is located at Fiddlehead Banner Elk, a secluded 22 acre property just minutes from Banner Elk, Sugar Mountain, Beech Mountain and Grandfather Mountain. It's part of a two-home property which includes the Lodge at Fiddlehead. The TreeHouse can be rented alone or together with the Lodge.

The TreeHouse at Fiddlehead does allow pets for a fee, however the Lodge does not accept pets.
